Mules 7th in golf
The Wahkiakum Mule golf team finished in seventh place at the state Class 1B/2B Golf Tournament last week at Lake Padden Golf Course, Bellingham.
Northwest Christian won the team championship with a score of 128.6. Following were Orcas Island 122.6, LaConner 99.6, Highland Christian 88.6, Asotin 49.3, Wilbur-Creston 49.3, Wahkiakum 41, Life Christian 40.3, DeSales 35.8, Liberty Christian 28, St.John-Endicott 17 and Rainier Christian 10.5.
In individual scores, Cody Olsen placed 16th with a two day score of 172. Cole Claussen finished 23rd with a score of 178.
Also competing by not qualifying for the final round were Chase Fritzie 97, Andrew Weiler 108 and Justin McClain 120.
